Document & Compliance Requirements

Documentation and Web Compliance has to be fulfilled to activate payment services. No commercial relationship with Paytm Payments Services Ltd. is possible without legal documents. Please find the list of documents required as per Business entity for accepting payments with Paytm Payments Services Ltd.

List of documents

  1. Company Proof

    Use any one of the following documents

    • GST

    • Udyam Registration Certificate

    • Shop establishment Act Certificate

    • CST/VAT/ GST certificate and income tax returns

    • Certificate/registration document issued by Sales Tax/Service Tax/Professional Tax authorities

    • IEC (Importer Exporter Code) certificate

    • Complete Income Tax Return in the name of the sole proprietor

    • Utility bills such as electricity, water, landline telephone bills, etc

    • PAN Card of Proprietor

      Copy of PAN card is required

        Checks

        • Name associated with the PAN should match with 'Proprietor’s Name'

        • Image of PAN card should be clear

        • Self-attested photocopied documents are acceptable

      • Bank Account Details

        Cancelled Cheque / Bank Attested Letter, Bank Passbook, Account statement signed and stamped by Bank.

          Checks

          • Business Name / Proprietor name and Account number and IFSC code should be printed on cheque / Bank passbook / account statement. If not, then bank Attested Letter is required on letter head of company. (Click here to download the format)
        • GST Document

          GST Certificate or Declaration of GST Non-Enrollment. (Click here to download Declaration template)

            Checks

            • GSTIN should be clearly visible

            • Company / Trade name and business address should be visible

            • Trade Name should match with Registered Business Name and legal name should match with Name of Proprietor

            • Declaration should be on company's letter-head with authorized signatory's sign and company's stamp

            • GSTIN should be active on GST portal (www.gst.gov.in)
          • KYC of the Authorized Signatory

            Use any one of the following documents

            • Driving License

            • Passport

            • Aadhaar Card

            • Voter ID Card

            • Nrega Card

            Checks

            • Both front and back of address proof is mandatory

            • Address proof should be in the name of Proprietor

            • Self-attested photocopied documents are acceptable

          • LOB Declaration (Only applicable for merchants with no App or Website)

              Checks for LOB declaration:

              • Mentioned business name on LOB Declaration should match with business name mentioned in company proof document

              • Signed & Stamped by proprietor

              • Date should be mentioned

            • Central/State government approved trade licenses are required to onboard merchants dealing in Liquor/Fertilizers/Pesticides/Fireworks.

                Standard guidelines to be followed for every document:

                  • Documents uploaded should be clear and valid

                  • Documents should be less than 2 MB in size

                  • Supported format of documents are jpg, png, PDF

                  • Photo should be taken from front and information should be clearly visible

                  • Documents should not be handwritten
